Religion as a Tool to Puncture the Social Set-up and Remove the Democracy

Sharia law in islam

Author: Dr Seema Sharma

Introduction

This is very unfortunate but it’s true. Go back to any country who follow indoctrinated religion, you will find the same pattern. Here is the food for thought, how come any religion can become enemy of their own people, especially their own women. A woman who generally get considered as a better half in any social set-up across the religion except indoctrinated religion. How this has been possible? How men of their own religion can become enemy of their women and treat them with law like sharia and halala etc.? Well, this can only be possible when the place has no real education, poverty is prevalent and most importantly women of those places are punctured in a way that future generation should not have any hope except follow the set rules to live their measurable life.

In any social set-up men and women are considered as two wheels of a vehicle. If one wheel will become puncture which has happened literally to the women in indoctrinated religion since ages then the society will exactly run the way its running right now in such countries on this planet earth. Taliban and talibani sharia rules are the newest manifestation of same indoctrinated religion.

For any democracy, importance of women and education is immense. Bad treatment of women and lack of education takes away the empathy among individuals, democracy of the nation and opportunity to get reform in order to become more human. Which has exactly happened with indoctrinated religion and their followers.

If will go back to the history, then we will realize that Christianity, Judaism and indoctrinated religion are all Abrahamic religion with similar kind of doctrine. but later Christianity and Judaism got reformed and that only happened with better education system and better treatment of women. That was the time world was under the influence of Indic civilizational values and Hinduism.  It was not only the Hitler who was influenced with Indic civilizational values and swastika as a symbol. Whole western world and British in particular were also influenced.

Indoctrinated religion as a tool

Unlike Christianity and Judaism, indoctrinated religion couldn’t manage to get reformed and later became victim of their own poor doctrine.  It was the time of rise of superpower in west and they utilized indoctrinated religion as a tool to make sure the poor economies to keep poor and chaos to be continued in order to rule the world.

To meet their objectives using indoctrinated religion, they did three important things across

  1. Promoted the set of people with vested political/social/individual interest and via them promoted and protected the law like sharia and halala to puncture the women.
  2. Replaced the real education with fake education and did indoctrination of education by opening madrasas instead of academic institutions.
  3. By doing above two things, they made sure that democracy should not be an option for the such economies.

Now, getting into the details, anyone can identify that the above mentioned three things are common in all countries across who follow indoctrinated religion. Least to say that the outcome is the lack of democracy in most of the those countries with poor quality of life and miserable living conditions for women.

India and Religion

The above three things mentioned under ‘indoctrinated religion as a tool’ section are equally true in case of India as well. If will go by history, what indoctrinated religion invaders did to us and to the women of India was the after effect of their poor doctrine and antiwomen practices which are deeply rooted in their religion. That was also the time they did mass conversions of local people into indoctrinated religion out of their power and poverty situation created by them.

ill treatment of women being part and parcel of indoctrinated religion also affected women in general and it also gave rise to competitive misogyny in India throughout.

That was the time, day to day practices in Hinduism also got affected and so did the life of Hindu women. In brief, it was the competitive misogyny, which gave ‘Johar’ and ‘Sati Paratha’ to the Hindu community.

Johar and Sati Pratha source back to Abrahamic religion

Going back to the history of Johar and Sati Pratha one can realize that these kinds of practices were never been a part of Hinduism as a religion. One can only find the mention of that kind of practices only after foreign invasions in India. but it was definitely there in practice by Abrahamic religions. In their practice, women used to bury alive with their dead husband. The recent archaeological research studies in Ukraine also confirms the same. In Abrahamic religions such practices were prevalent almost 3000 years back.

British Invasion and Manusmriti

Later, it was British, who utilized the set platform by indoctrinated religion invaders to tamper the Hindu philosophy and to dilute the Indic civilizational values overall in their own interest. In a very planned manner, the dilution of Indic civilizational values was done by promoting indoctrinated religion laws among their followers and misogynistic policies among Hindus in the name of balance and justice. However, whatever they did, women became the most affected party in this.

Among several things, one of the important milestones British achieved was the successful manipulation of the so called ‘Manusmriti’. In reality, no one knows, what was the actual Manusmriti and where is the original copy of it?

The copy and the mention we get is only done by British. And in this regard, they themselves agree that, they are the one who saved this manual and translated into English (Sir William Jones, 1776). Now this same copy is available in top academic libraries which often get referred by so called progressive social studies scholars in order to demine the value of Hinduism as a religion on purpose.

Social studies scholars and Indian democracy

Now in this current context, these social studies scholars are exactly the set of people mentioned in point one of the above three mentioned points i.e., they are the set of people who promote and protect the law like sharia and halala to puncture the women in indoctrinated religion and promote misogyny in Hinduism.

What British did to us and to the women in general was a level ahead. Not only they did implement all the above three discussed points in India to puncture the social set up but they also made sure that it should keep going on no matter they are physically here or not.

In nut shell, using manipulated Manusmriti, British did establish a new form of caste system in India which was more or less influenced by their own racism system in west and misogynistic approach towards women in India.

Well, British did leave India and we celebrated our 75th Independence Day this year but their missionaries and functionaries are still working well and keep damaging our social set up. The credit goes to the higher education system which is totally captured by them and regarding schools at ground level we all know how our schools are functioning since independence and what values we are teaching to our future generation. In other words, what British taught us we are still teaching them the same.

In India, now the only difference is this time social set-up is getting punctured by the hand of our own people and at stake is our own democracy and women living conditions in India.
